In case you wanted to see what was inside that Maurice Lacroix box, here it is! The Maurice Lacroix Pontos Chronograph Mother-of-Pearl! Whew, that was a mouthful, but isn't she gorgeous?
I've been wearing it for just about a week now, and aesthetically (or otherwise), I really have no complaints! I'm not usually a fan of chronographs, as I feel that they can clutter up the dial. But despite the chronograph, this watch remains crisp and clean. I don't know if it's the mother-of-pearl face or the white and blue combination, but this watch is stunning. It's simple, yet elegant. Sporty, yet has the potential to be dressy. Subtly sexy.
At 43mm, this watch isn't small. Despite the larger size, it's a dream to wear. I don't feel the size at all when it's on my wrist. It's probably in large part due to the rubber strap. It's extremely comfortable to sport. I love that it has an anti-reflective coating. As someone who actually uses a watch to tell time, I appreciate this touch of thoughtfulness on the part of Maurice Lacroix.
After a previous failed attempt, I think @lifeofawis has been obsessed with getting me a watch with a mother-of-pearl dial. I must say, he did extremely well! And now, we have matching Pontos watches! Can't wait to take a wrist shot together! Thank you, hon!
